Here is the start of my first project at school.  I found this piece of wood and decided to wood burn the hazel plant into it.  Hazel has become quite invasive on the landscape here and I have kind of become interested in invasive species and even what that word means to us...to be "invasive".  We'll see where it goes from here! Will post more artwork pics soon, hoping to get some good studio time this week. 

P.S. My next goal is to weather the wood more, so I will be leaving it outside in for the elements to take care of it...stay tuned:)
